Soon the wailing sound of the Barrier's alarm horns had become nothing more than dying echoes lost in the silence of the night. All of Nelaa's citizens were now awake and the message of the black fog had quickly spread with the same, incredible speed shared by bad news everywhere. King Lrak appeared on the Old Barrier walls in his full armament to look into the black depths of this strange and sinister threat to the tiny Kingdom of Nelaa ...

Like the king, his daughter Nileve also possessed an iron will. Although usually quite proud of his daughter's decisiveness, like all fathers, King Lark was sometimes annoyed when the princess demonstrated her strong resolve. This often resulted in great amusement for the royal staff and servants. Because she loved and respected her father, Princess Nileve would finally always publicly acquiesce to the king's wishes. However, this time, no earthly power could keep her from accompanying her father to the Barrier ...

Once again, the Old Barrier walls were awakened to the sounds of life. Many hundreds of men were rapidly making their way to their posts. The night air was filled with the metallic rattling and chafing of weapons and armor. As with the speed of the winter winds, the defenses of the Old Barrier were soon armed and ready ...

The steady beat of drums led each warrior to his place...

With it's countless weapons and defense systems the Old Barrier seemed to be an impenetrable fortress ...

In the past, every attack had been successfully thwarted and every enemy totally destroyed by King Lrak's Royal Dragon Knights ...

The swords and axes of Nelaa's soldiers had split many heads of both Trolls and Orcs ...

Many battles had been successfully won by the men of the Old Barrier, but this time it seemed to be somewhat different ...
